Discernment

“The moment you declare who you are, you will attract everything you are not …

In the absence of that which you are not, that what you are is not.”

How do you know exactly who you are?

You learn who you are through experience. Through contrast. Through situations that make you pause and say, no… I don’t like that. Or this doesn’t feel right. Or I want better than this.

That’s discernment.

It’s realizing your standards by living through things not by writing a list or pretending you already have it all figured out. Sometimes you don’t know what you’re available for until you experience what you’re no longer willing to accept.

And that’s where that quote really resonated with me…

If you never experience what you’re not, how would you ever fully know what you are?

The uncomfortable moments, the misaligned situations, the “this isn’t it” feeling those aren’t mistakes. They’re information. They’re clarity forming in real time.

I think a lot of growth happens right there. Not in the big, dramatic moments, but in the quiet realization that something you once tolerated doesn’t match who you’re becoming.

And that doesn’t mean you were wrong before.

It just means you’ve evolved.

Discernment isn’t about judgment.

It’s about self-respect catching up to your experiences.
